Struggles with weight seem to be a never-ending battle in our society. In fact, it has become so much of an issue that the first lady launched a national campaign in 2011 , called Move Your Body , in order to address the issue of childhood obesity in the Public School system. However, obesity is still a major issue plaguing many adults throughout the U.S. According to statistics provided by the Food Research and Action Center in 2011, about two-thirds of the population are considered to be overweight. In a 2012 column published with the American Psychological Association, APA President, Dr. Suzanne Bennet-Johnson, explains: one-third of those experiencing weight issues are actually facing, obesity. Furthermore, a significant amount of medical and psychological problems can occur as a result of being overweight, from Type 2 diabetes to depression….Although it seems a bit gloomy on the path to reaching a goal weight, there are viable options out there. However, many would probably agree that just getting started on a diet plan is perhaps the largest obstacle towards the journey of beginning a healthy lifestyle……However, there are solutions…
